Terms & Conditions for Adult Programs
PLEASE FIND THE GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR DRAGONS ADULT PROGRAMMING BELOW.
RESERVATIONS AND FINANCES
An $850 Program Deposit is required to hold your space on a Dragons Adult program. Once submitted, there is a $200 non-refundable application processing fee. *Please note our modified refund policy in response to the coronavirus outbreak listed below.
This deposit will hold your place until 120 days prior to program departure, at which time you will be required to submit the remainder of payment.
Dragons is offering a modified refund policy so you can plan your travels with peace of mind.
The deposit is refundable, minus the $200 application processing fee, 6 within months of the trip start date.
Cancellations prior to 90 days before departure will receive an 70% tuition refund. Cancellations between 30 and 89 days receive a 40% refund. Cancellations received 30 days or less prior to departure will not be eligible for any refund.
Should Dragons choose to cancel any program due to changing circumstances, travelers will receive a full refund minus the $200 application processing fee and any unrecoverable fees, such as bookings for accommodations. Please note that this is rare in most cases, meaning the refund amount should be paid nearly in-full in the event of a Dragons initiated cancellation even beyond the refundable deadlines.
Our intention is to create a travel program that addresses the goals and program elements as listed in each program description. Participants are advised to note that program itineraries will most likely change. When changes are made to incorporate participant goals and interests, adjust to the health of the group, or made necessary because of foul weather, problems with transportation, political unrest or any other unforeseen problem, we will work to structure the trip so that it stays true to its original intent.
PROGRAM TUITION INCLUDES:
- All hotel accommodation
- All meals
- All surface transportation
- Museum, park, and temple entrance fees
- Journal packet and comprehensive reading materials
- Donations to charitable causes in the host country
- Instructor and extra guide fees
- On-site equipment rental (e.g. bike rental, snorkel rental etc.)
Not included are personal expenses such as the cost of obtaining passports, visa fees, laundry, medical fees, cost of evacuation, airport taxes, e-mail, health and travel insurance, extra baggage fees, phone calls, etc. The cost of international air fare is not included in the program price.
Participants are responsible for booking their own travel to and from the in-country start and end points of their program. Dragons will provide contact information for a reputable agent if requested, and will also provide assistance booking pre-course in-country lodging, if requested.
MEDICAL AND EVACUATION EXPENSES
It is the responsibility of the participant to understand the limits of any medical and evacuation policy, and to provide up-front payment of emergency services when required. Dragons provides the option to enroll in a group evacuation policy through International SOS, at an additional fee; details will be provided along with the final invoice.
DRAGONS RULES AND REGULATIONS
If a participant acts in a way that is injurious to himself or herself, people of the host country, other participants on the trip, or generally conducts himself or herself in a way that is disruptive to the program, we reserve the right to terminate our relationship with the participant without refund. Participants who leave the program for any reason, including sickness, personal emergencies or injury, will be responsible for all medical costs, and will absorb travel and related costs associated with an unscheduled departure.
Dragons reserves the right to cancel any trip if there are insufficient registrations and the trip is not economically feasible. A full refund will be granted for canceled trips that arise out of insufficient registration, though Dragons is not responsible for other costs incurred by clients preparing for the trip. For programs that we cancel pre-departure due to any other event that is beyond our control, Dragons will refund all tuition less costs already incurred (i.e., flight fees, bookings, in-field staff pay, etc.) and less the deposit of $850.
Applicant must be in possession of a valid passport for international travel, complete with usable visa pages. The date of expiry must be beyond 6 months from you return flight date. Detailed instructions for acquiring appropriate visas will be sent to the applicant upon payment of full program tuition.
HEALTH REQUIREMENTS AND SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS
All Dragons programs are designed to engage with remote communities and access regions of exceptional natural splendor; they therefore all require participants to be in good physical health. If you have any questions regarding the physical demands of a program, please call. All participants will be responsible for submitting to us a completed health form that completely and accurately represents the current mental and physical well-being of the participant. Dragons guides have the right to disqualify any member from the group if considered medically necessary, and will do so if a participant falsely represents him/herself on the participant’s health form or any other required paperwork. In the event of a medical emergency, Dragons will attempt to procure medical treatment; however, we assume no liability regarding provision of medical care. Participants are urged to check their insurance coverage for its adequacy when outside of their own country, or to purchase travel health insurance. A pro-rated evacuation policy will be offered through Dragons to all participants.
LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY
Participants will be required to read and sign an “Acknowledgment and Assumption of Risk and Release and Indemnity Agreement” prior to participating in our program.
