Lindsay Buck

Bolivia Instructor

BA Psychology, Sociology with a minor in Adolescent Development, Whittier College

Lindsay has led three international gap year trips and is thrilled to be joining Dragons in South America, her second home and soul place. She spent a decade living in and traversing the wild and varied terrains of the continent, first with Peace Corps in Peru, and then as an independent contractor. She seeks great joy in practicing stillness and gratitude in the Andes alongside local women (and men and children, of course) while preparing communal projects or meals. Her primary pleasure and passion lies in accompanying and guiding students abroad on programs that promote experiential education and cultural immersion. To her, there is no greater bliss than witnessing students break down barriers to experience total cross-cultural connection.

In her time between trips, Lindsay co-runs a wellness initiative with her best friend that travels nationally and internationally, guiding individuals, groups, and organizations in infusing more meaning and connection into their lives and practices. When not on the road, Lindsay can be found attending baseball games with her dad (Go Phillies!), satiating her endless curiosity at a bookstore or in the forest, or nurturing her relationships with her loved ones. She looks forward to cultivating and nurturing what she is sure will be equally enriching relationships with her new students and wider Dragons community!
