Kai has been instructing for Dragons since 2006 and has lead numerous Dragons courses in China from the Silk Road to the China Comprehensive course. He grew up in a YMCA camp and retreat center outside of New York City. After spending most of his summers leading wilderness trips and facilitating high ropes courses at the camp, Kai put his undergraduate degree to work by leading wilderness therapy programs for at-risk youth. Soon after this experience, he moved to China to study traditional healing and martial arts. From 2000 to 2004, Kai apprenticed with Chinese and Taiwanese doctors who specialized in treating “terminal illnesses”. He has also worked to develop and implement Emotional Intelligence curricula for schools in China and Taiwan. Currently he leads workshops in Chinese Medicine and healing throughout the country and has established his own retreat center and professional programming in Western Yunnan.
