Henry Van Damme

Bolivia & Peru Instructor

M.Sc (cum laude) Cultural Anthropology, Utrecht University
B.A Anthropology, College of the Holy Cross

Henry was born in Cochabamba, Bolivia, is one of five brothers, and hates being asked the question “where are you from?” Growing up with parents who worked with the Peace Corps and the European Union meant moving from one hemisphere to another frequently and has left him with a curiosity to always understand those around him. After completing his bachelor’s degree, Henry joined the Peace Corps in Burkina Faso where he served as a Community Economic Development Volunteer for two and a half years.

Henry enjoys being active and involved with the outdoors. He was a four year member of the Division 1 varsity rowing team at College of the Holy Cross, worked as a bicycle messenger for two years in the Netherlands, and if he is not home he is probably out running.
