Cristina has worked for more than ten years in the Engineering world. She has a bachelor’s degree in Electromechanical Engineering and has a Masters degree in Project Management. However her love for nature and passion for outdoor sports moved her to change her path dramatically.

She is currently developing and leading social impact projects related to sustainable tourism, women empowerment, and environment preservation with different organizations such as: Acceso Panam, an organization which promotes sustainable and responsible access to rock and mountain climbing and encourages a responsible practice of sports in these environments. Mujer Montaña Bolivia, an outdoor women organization who empower women and educate environmental values through outdoor activities in indigenous communities, among others.

She is also is a renowned trekking guide, working for the most important outdoor travel agencies in Bolivia, member of AGMTB (Asociación de guías de Montaña y Trekking Bolivia). She recently obtained a UIMLA certification, being the first woman to receive this international recognition in Bolivia.

She practices mountain biking, mountaineering, rock climbing and is one of the best female trailrunner of Bolivia, she has won many races and competitions inside and outside Bolivia.
