Christina insists it was the moment she bought a one-way ticket abroad that her, “real education” began. In Central America, she started a seven-year global pilgrimage that would eventually take her through six continents and over 40 countries. While attending this prestigious “University of Life,” Christina found herself enthralled with her course work in self-reliance, service learning, and experiential education; all the while she recognized that the only thing she enjoyed more than experiencing the world independently was sharing that enthusiasm and inspiration with others. Between 2001-2016, Christina led over ten student programs (mostly semesters in South Asia and Latin America) and has now accumulated 14+ years of experience in Dragons Administration (working previously in both the Admissions and Staffing Director roles). Christina was the Princeton Bridge Year Director from 2008-2016 and collaborated closely with Princeton University to create and direct the 9-month, service-focused, gap year programs in India, China, Senegal, Indonesia and Bolivia. Christina stepped into the Communication & Social Marketing Director role in 2017. Her favorite parts of the job are Alumni Communications, Blog and Social Media Management, The Map’s Edge Newsletter, and any projects related to building Dragons Community. Christina typically works remotely from the Vail Valley with regular visits to the the Boulder HQ Office. Christina is a lover of language study, passionate salsa dancer, novice writer, expert book lover, and grateful wife and mother of two tiny, amazing, human beings.
