Seavyi Yonn

Cambodia & Thailand Country Coordinator & Instructor

Choum Reap Sou (“Hello” in the Cambodian language),

Seavyi is originally from Battambang, the city best known for its art, culture, and French colonial aesthetic in the western part of Cambodia. People describe Seavyi as an easy going, curious, funny, and incredibly welcoming person. Prior to working in tourism, Seavyi spent time working with NGOs in Cambodia and is very passionate about exploring the complexities of international aid in the development sector, which has been a significant and controversial topic in contemporary Cambodian history. He is eager to support visitors in gaining personal growth and creating positive change through the mutual exchange of experiences and stories. Seavyi’s work as a guide and educator has consistently brought him to Thailand to lead experiential education programs focused on cuisine, culture, Buddhism, and environmental topics. Over the years, Seavyi has hosted many different high school, university, and independent travel groups from all around the world who wish to explore and learn about Cambodia and Thailand.

When he is not working with Dragons, you’ll find Seavyi on his bike cycling across the country. He finds cycling to be a way to challenge himself physically and mentally and also the best way to explore Cambodia and its neighboring countries at a slow enough pace for chance encounters along the way.
