Uyuni Slat Flats Travel
In addition to being a natural wonder and the largest salt flats in the Western Hemisphere, the Uyuni Slat Flats contain the largest lithium deposits on earth. This abandoned train cemetery offers insight into the history of mineral extraction in Bolivia, although this photo just captures a random moment of play. Photo by Tom Pablo, Instructor.

From the dwindling forests of Madagascar to the isolated Quilombos of Bahia, this spring Edition of The Map's Edge represents an anthology of articles and essays meant to expose the soul of freedom on a global scale. Our aim in compiling these narratives is to deconstruct the meaning of freedom as a way to better understand the tenets of human rights and our civic responsibilities. To quote Nobel Peace Price recipient, Oscar Arias Sanchez, "The more freedom we enjoy, the greater responsibility we bear, toward others as well as ourselves."

(Dragons bi-annual Newsletter, The Map’s Edge, explores a subject of interest to the Dragons community through the voices of our Alumni, Instructors, Partners, Parents and our International Staff and contacts. Feel free to view our archive of editions of The Map’s Edge or even submit a piece to be featured in our next issue by sending an email to [email protected])
