Astou "Toussa" Gueye

Astou Gueye, also known as Toussa, was born and raised in Dakar, Senegal. Her training was in agriculture, and since then, she has improved her skills by working in the field. She has gained knowledge along the way and remains committed to continuing on this path.
As an entrepreneur, activist, feminist, artist, and farmer, she discovered the world of hip-hop at an early age. In 2013, she toured the United States with Onebeat, an exchange program that brings together 25 musicians from around the world. It was an enriching experience for her to have the opportunity to visit the United States and meet various artists from different backgrounds. It was a revelation for her in many ways.
In Senegal, she often explores the sub-region due to her passion for traveling and meeting people. As an artist, this also provides her with many opportunities to travel. Since 2015, Gambia has captured her heart and become her second home.
She currently works as a farmer and sustainable development facilitator with the Djarama association. Animation is another area she is exploring at Djarama, having been trained by specialist trainers. She is convinced that it will be a wonderful exchange, not only for the students, but also for herself.
She is very happy to have the chance to join the great Dragons family.
