Become an Alumni Ambassador

Our alumni are the heart of the Dragons community.

Over 6,000 students have participated in Dragons’ programs since we began our work twenty-five years ago. In that time, we have built robust relationships with communities in twenty-four countries, and have worked with extraordinary students. And increasingly our instructors and alumni students are speaking in classrooms, consulting with teachers and school administrators (high school and college) and taking a leadership role in defining best practices in cross-cultural and experiential education.

Dragons’ Alumni Ambassadors serve as the student voices of our community. They serve as a resource for prospective students; connect with Dragons instructors in the area; coordinate alumni events; provide feedback to us on our mission, curriculum, new direction and messaging; and contribute to our newsletters. For their involvement, we provide a Boulder-based training (all expenses covered) and guided mentorship for the duration of the program.

If you’d like to re-connect with the Dragons community, help us to build a bigger and stronger community of alumni, and inform the direction of Dragons as we head into our next twenty-five years, please fill out the form below. Our Ambassador program is competitive, so please review our Alumni Ambassador Program Expectations first. We typically have 10 Student Ambassadors per year. Applications are due September 1st and Ambassadors are selected by September 15th.

What have you been up to since your Dragons course? What communities are you an active part of?
Why do you want to be an Alumni Ambassador? What strengths, skills and stories would you bring to the Ambassador program and our outreach to prospective participants?
What are three things you are most passionate about in the world? How might those three things overlap with Dragons and your work as an Ambassador?
What ideas do you have for how Dragons can evolve in outreach to prospective students, programming, and/or vision?
Dragons Ambassadors are able work collaboratively, both with other Ambassadors and Dragons Admin, but also independently. Please comment on your ability to work in a group as well as on your own.
