B.A. with honors in French, Minor in TESL, Eastern Washington University
RN-BSN Regis University, Denver, CO
During her college years Liz studied in Switzerland, France and Spain, and made her way south into Morocco – where her first dip into the developing world inspired many subsequent adventures. Following several years of teaching, trekking, service work, and Spanish study, Liz settled into a village in Guatemala. While working as a language school coordinator in Todos Santos, Guatemala, Liz first encountered a group of Dragons students.
Inspired by the dynamism, character and heart of the students and instructors she met, Liz soon enlisted as a Dragons instructor herself, working in Mexico, Guatemala, India, West Africa and Rwanda. She remains inspired by the power of education to open our minds and hearts, and enjoys watching her students learn and grow into global citizens. Liz speaks French and Spanish fluently and is currently studying Sufism. She currently works as an emergency department nurse in New Mexico.
