Binita is a free spirit traveler. Born and raised in Jiri, she moved to Kathmandu to pursue her higher education. Her curiosity to learn took her to places like Chittagong for undergraduate education, South Korea for an exchange program, Upper Dolpa for a six months teaching fellowship, and 17 days of solo travel through Solo Woman Travel Challenge.

She is a licensed trekking guide and worked for a year coordinating travel experiences through SherpaShah Experiences. She had led 30+ hikes/treks for diverse groups from all over the world. You will always see her surrounded by people because she is a total peoples’ person and she is excited to mentor Dragon’s students and have a dual learning process.

Recently, she completed 22 days of Mechi-Mahakali cycle ride, which was her first time in the Terai region of Nepal. She is going to conquer for The Great Himalayan Trail, the trail across Himalayan region of Nepal starting from eastern Kanchenjunga to Humla in the west on March 2020! She enjoys these types of journeys as they allow her to deepen her understanding of the geography, culture, and people of these regions.

Binita loves to explore different food and play football. She also runs a women led podcast called “Duluwatalks” that tells hidden stories about travel. She believes in investing in travel and experiences.
