In the field of overseas experiential education, Dragons instructors set the industry standard: they are mature, well-educated, resourceful, responsible and deeply knowledgeable. They are committed educators who are intent on providing the most meaningful cross-cultural experiences, as well as the deepest experience of personal learning, reflection and growth. When not guiding with Dragons, our instructors are graduate students, returned Peace Corps Volunteers, U.N. development professionals, veteran guides, and career teachers - all of whom share a passion for exploration, adventure, and hands-on learning through authentic, low-impact travel experiences.

As a professional guiding company with the experience of more than 100,000 days working with students in the field, we know that our journeys are the richest and most rewarding when our instructors actively participate in the vision, planning and execution of their courses. And considering the wealth of experience that Dragons instructors bring, we're thrilled to empower our leadership teams with considerable direction over their adventures. Our instructors work together in teams of 3, ensuring that the student group is intimately supported, and providing the resources needed to create and execute the goals of the program.

Dragons instructors fulfill a number of roles. Most importantly, they are present to ensure students' safety. Secondarily, they are present to ensure a genuine learning experience by facilitating structured activities, and then giving students the tools they need to direct the experience on their own. While all instructors are dedicated to teaching about life in the countries in which they guide, they are also adept at working through group processes and contributing to the full development of each student.
